ORCA Leadership Team

The ORCA leadership team consists of many individuals from different parts of Oregon with years of dynamic experience in education.

  • Allison Galvin

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Allison is the executive director for Oregon Charter Academy (ORCA). She has been in education since 2002 as a math teacher and instructional coach in the Salem-Keizer School District, and a school administrator with ORCA. She resides in Salem, OR with her husband and daughter.

  • Marci Cammann

    SENIOR MANAGER OF COUNSELING

    Marci has over 20 years of education experience having been a high school counselor and coach before joining ORCA as the Senior Manager of Counseling in 2008. Marci holds an Oregon educator's license in both counseling and administration. She enjoys reading, sports of all kinds, and exploring the outdoors with her husband, their two sons and their German Shepherd. She resides in Beaverton, OR.

  • Todd Shaffer

    ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL

    Todd began his career in education in 2007 serving as a PE/Health teacher and joined the ORCA administrative team in the summer of 2021, beginning his 5th year in school administration. He lives in Vale, Oregon with his wife and two children and enjoys all things related to sports and the outdoors.

  • Susan Pollnow

    MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

    Susan earned her Bachelor's of Science in Geography and Earth System Science at Western Oregon University and has been working the education field since 2005, starting as a paraprofessional and working towards teaching while earning her MAT through Willamette University in 2009. ORCA became her professional home in 2011, and she’s loved every minute of it. Susan has been proudly serving as the Middle School Principal since 2015, working with students, teachers and families alike. When she’s not working, you can find her outside, playing sports, chilling by the lake, or embarking on epic camping adventures with her awesome family.

  • Joe Mogford

    HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

    Joe earned bachelor's and master's degrees at Corban University and has been with ORCA as a teacher and administrator since 2011. He loves great stories in whatever medium they are presented and enjoys visiting national parks and other natural wonders with his family.

  • John Meyer

    DISTRICT PROGRAM MANAGER AND CTE ADMINISTRATOR

    John is a veteran of the US Navy and has been a successful business owner and worked in elementary education for nine years before becoming ORCA’s High School Success Administrator. He loves exploring the outdoors with his grandchildren on his small farm in Mulino, OR.
